Establishment of an induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cell line (SDUKIi006-A) from a 21-year old male patient diagnosed with atypical autism disorder

چکیده
Autism is a complex neuropsychiatric disorder defined by significant challenges in communication skills and social behavior as well repetitive conduct interests. Recent advances stem cell technologies allow vitro modeling of the underlying molecular disease mechanisms. Using integration-free episomal plasmids, we have generated novel iPS line (SDUKIi006-A) from patient diagnosed with atypical autism (FYNEN cohort Southern Denmark). Characterization established validated its expression pluripotency markers, differentiation into three germ layers, absence chromosomal abnormalities.

Establishment of induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) line from 55-year old male patient with hemorrhagic Moyamoya disease.
Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) were collected from 55-year old male patient with a confirmed diagnosis of hemorrhagic Moyamoya disease (MMD). PBMCs were reprogrammed using Sendai virus particles delivering the four Yamanaka factors. A footprint-free hiPSC line was characterized by the expression of pluripotency markers and a normal karyotype. These cells were able to give rise to Em...
متن کاملEstablishment of a pancreatic stem cell line from fibroblast-derived induced pluripotent stem cells
BACKGROUND For cell therapies to treat diabetes, it is important to produce a sufficient number of pancreatic endocrine cells that function similarly to primary islets. Induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells represent a potentially unlimited source of functional pancreatic endocrine cells. However, the use of iPS cells for laboratory studies and cell-based therapies is hampered by their high tumo...
متن کاملGeneration of a human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) line from a 51-year-old female with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) carrying a duplication of SLC2A3.
Fibroblasts were isolated from a skin biopsy of a clinically diagnosed 51-year-old female attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) patient carrying a duplication of SLC2A3, a gene encoding neuronal glucose transporter-3 (GLUT3). Patient fibroblasts were infected with Sendai virus, a single-stranded RNA virus, to generate transgene-free human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). SLC2A3...
متن کاملDerivation of a disease-specific human induced pluripotent stem cell line from a biliary atresia patient
Biliary atresia (BA) is a common cause of pediatric end-stage liver disease. While its etiology is not yet clear, evidence has suggested that BA results from interactions between genetic susceptibility and environmental factors. Disease relevant human cellular models of BA will facilitate identification of both genetic and environmental factors that are important for disease prevention and trea...
متن کاملDerivation of male germ cells from induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells: a novel and crucial source for generating male gametes.
ne of the most significant findings in recent stem cell research is the establishment of the induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells, because they could have critical implications in both regenerative and reproductive medicine. Male gametes play a crucial role in transmitting genetic information to subsequent generations, and notably there are more and more patients with azoospermia, due to geneti...
